Big Girl Bed!

We got Khalina's big girl mattress out because she refused to sleep in her crib anymore....We have it on the floor in case she rolls off (we often find her sleeping next to it!) but it has definitely given mommy and daddy some sleep at night!

Halloween...

Moe had to work overtime for Halloween, so Khalina spent it with Mom and Dad and I went out with Blake and Brandon. I was a killer bee...lol Mom helped me make my shirt and Moe helped me with my weapons..I had an airsoft gun, nunchucks (sp?) handcuffs and "pepper spray".

It was a pretty awesome night. Blake and Angela went as Peter Pan and Tinkerbell and Brandon went as Indiana Jones....

Our New Puppy!

She is 3-4 months old and we believe a mix between a jack russell and a chihuahua and ??? who knows what else! but she is out little lovebug. She is great with Khalina and was totally desensitized by the little boy that she used to live with. He carried her around like a ragdoll. Poor thing. Potty and crate training are works in progress, but she's really trying! She's a crackup with the mini tennis balls and squeak toy we got her.

Her name is currently in debate right now...lol...Moe wants to call her Missy, I want to call her Riley. I think she might just end up being Miss Riley.

My friend, Sarah, and I drove all the way to San Bernardino to pick her up and that was an ADVENTURE! I found her online and she was listed for free. The lady that had her sent me pictures and we decided to make the journey. (It just so happened I was looking at the wrong city!) We left at 4:30 and got back home at 9!! (with food and petco stop in between!) She slept the whole way home. :)

I just can't express how sweet she is. She follows Khalina around and they are like pals already. Khalina already fed her steamed carrots that she was SUPPOSED to be eating...so maybe I'm the one in trouble! Terrible twosome!

I've gone BLONDE!

So last week I decided that I was going to go blonde....and I was going to dye it in my living room with Moe's help. Apparently L'Oreal thinks that ORANGE is the same as ash blonde. I FREAKED OUT. Moe being the eternal optimist when I'm having a meltdown told me to wash it...it might get better...dry it....it might get better....nope. (Although he did jokingly call me Raggedy Ann when I finally decided to get it fixed) I frantically called the number on the box and the "beauty expert" advised me to go buy a stronger box. Then my hair turned light orange...awesome. I was forced to go to my hairdresser with my hair hidden under Moe's baseball hat and explain to her that I had ruined my hair trying to save some bucks...

After she put blue dye in my hair...YES BLUE...to counteract the orange, my hair turned into this color. Very nice...some things are better left to the professionals... I have an appt at the end of the month to finish off the color...my hairdresser said it is better to be a little unhappy with the color of your hair than to have no hair at all...sound advice!

Shoes!!

So Khalina finally fits into some of the shoes that I had been storing. We took them out and got them all cleaned up...she was super excited! Especially since a pair had PINK laces! She kept giving me her foot so I put them on and she strutted her stuff all over the house....

She also found my purse and took $20 out of it....but she put it back when I asked...Good girl!

Pat and Oscars/Farmers Market

On our day off together, Moe and I took Khalina out to Pat and Oskars (only the BEST place to get breadsticks EVER!) She loved the kiddy pasta meal that we got her...as you can see! lol She always goes "MMMM" really loud after every bite when she's eating something she really likes. (She also does this when Mommy or Daddy are eating something that she wants!! And if that doesn't work then she says "thank you" over and over! ha ha)

Welk is now having a Farmer's Market every Monday from 3-7 so I took Khalina to the first one. It was SO hot outside that I took her into our theatre for some cooling off in the air conditioning! (Next time I might actually get some pics from the Farmer's Market! lol)
