Spending the day at Nana's 7/03/09

Mom took Khalina on friday so that Moe and I could have a date night. We went to see Transformers and then picked up some steak for a BBQ with Mom and Dad. Awesome weekend!

4th of July

We both had to work on the 4th this year, but I get off at 3, so I took Khalina to Grape Day Park to see the fireworks with some of our friends. Khalina was having a blast eating her crackers and jabbering away. She really took a liking to my friend and kept trying to have a conversation with her. Khalina wasn't quite sure what to make of the fireworks, and she kept squinting and pointing a them. At the end of the night a family by us gave her a glow in the dark flower that she was really excited about.

Our Day at the Fair!

Yesterday we took Khalina to the Del Mar Fair. Of course...even driving in the car is a photo op!

We parked in the free parking, so we had to take a "shuttle" over to the fair. Turned out to be a double decker London style bus and Khalina had a blast. I could barely get her away from the window to take a picture!

The animals were comical. She wasn't quite sure what to make of them. Especially since something riled all the turkeys up and they poofed up all of their feathers and were strutting around and gobbling.

I just had to put this in for all my health food addicts out there. Some of the fare options this year: Fried S'mores, Fried Frog Legs, Fried oreos and twinkies and the one that tops them all? A Krispy Kreme Chicken Sandwich!
We took Khalina to the tough trucks race at the newly covered stadium. We were all really happy to get out of the sun and get a bite to eat!And finally....after a long day...Miss Khalina crashed in her stroller while Mom and Dad browsed all the booths with all the stuff that nobody needs. :) NOW it feels like summer!

We took Khalina to Lea and Kent's to see Kaitlyn who was here visiting from Hawaii. K had SO much fun walking around the living room (yes, by herself) and seeing all the animals. Funny thing...she was more interested in the leaves and avocados than anythings else! By the end of the day, she was wiped out....

Pool Day!

I took Khalina to mom and dad's pool and she LOVED it! As you can see.... she was practically falling asleep. We also took her to the pool at our apartment complex when daddy was home. :)
