Khalinas Haircut!

OK so I finally cut Khalinas hair...her bangs were in her face so much she was pushing them out of the way....I only did the bangs though...I wasn't brave enough for anything else...LOL (Her hair is still long in the back, but she just got a bath so it's all stuck to her head ha ha)

A Breakthrough!

Khalina learned to splash when we took her to the pool on Wednesday!!! YAY! I didn't get to get any pictures of her...but it was a HUGE milestone for getting over her water apprehension!
It was comical...I took her to my mom's house on Thursday...and she even splashed in the dogs water dish! UH OH! We might have a challenge here....

Our Trip to the Midway and Seaport Village

At home before we left for the Midway... somebody was anxious to get Mom and Dad out of bed!
Right before going onto the Midway....Mommy and K

Taking in all the sights.....
Flight Deck (IT WAS HUGE)

Khalina decided the Helicopters were her new toys...Her new REALLY BIG toys!
Rewiring the Helicopter...I'm sure they appreciated that...LOL

She loved the flight deck...it was her favorite part!

...and she had NO problem exploring it without Mom and Dad! She was off in her own little adventure world! (This picture is cool because you can see the bridge to Coronado Island in the background)
Unfortunately, we couldn't go up in the control tower because there is a height requirement and Khalina was too small. ( I guess there are some crazy ladders you have to climb and it's just not safe for little kids)...so we took a picture instead!

Ejection seat....

Our little pilot...look at the serious face. (She wasn't happy that Mommy turned her around for the picture!)

One of the many reasons why we go to Seaport Village...YUM (Good thing Khalina doesn't know what a candied apple is yet...hee hee hee)
Daddy and baby in front of the Midway... sun going down on a long day

Pretty

Bye bye Midway

Moe's Project

So we currently live in a 700 sq ft apartment, which doesn't really lend itself to baby safety. We have no way of keeping stuff out of her reach...because EVERYTHING is in reach. So as our solution, Moe made this gate that spans our entire dining room area and we have made that whole area her playroom. So mommy and daddy can be in there playing too with plenty of room, or Khalina can play safely while we do chores. A gate online that was this wide was over $200.00. We made this one out of plastic garden lattice and bordered it so its completely baby safe! It's hardmounted onto the wall and is working out great so far! I will post a pic as soon as i take one. :)

Beach Day!

Khalina was NOT very happy about our beach trip. She has major water phobia and was not impressed with the sandy wet substance beneath her feet.

Mommy! Please save me!!!

Wet baby toes!

Trying to escape the water...

Daddy won't let anything hurt his baby girl...

A moment with Daddy might make it better....

Smile for Mommy? Please?

She was interested in the other kids...but did NOT want to be put down for any reason!
Still worried that the water was gonna get her!
Our little Diva at her best!

Still not far enough away...you could park a BUS on that pouty lip!
Cute little baby feet...

Eating at Harbor Fish & Chips..she DID love all the food!

Mommy came out from behind the camera...

Driving home after a long long day

Our Daily Walk

So I've been taking Khalina to the mailbox for a long time now. I used to have to carry her, but now she's a big girl and can do it herself! (aka she pushes me away when mommy tries to help). Unfortunately, she thinks she can magically float down all the stairs and I have to watch her really close because she goes right for them. NOT realizing mommy is holding her by her pants so she doesn't fall. Every leaf is a new "treasure" and she'll pick one up in each hand and when she sees another one a few feet later, its out with the old and in with the new! It takes us a LONG time to get to the mailbox, but we have fun and she babbles the whole way. Today was a milestone though. She always insists on carrying the keys (as only she can) but today she used the MAILBOX key (not the car key she favors so much) and tried to open everyone else's mailbox. (So much for federal regulations!)
